Mid City is as it says, in the middle of New Orleans, and is a middle class neighborhood. This area does not have a lot of tourist attractions and is considered more "blue-collar" part of New Orleans.
It is known for its quirky feel and has canal street streetcars, stately canal street homes, charming bungalows, eclectic restaurants, and bars.
Treo-bar in Mid City
Streetcar
The Krewe of Mid City was founded in 1933 and is Carnival’s fifth oldest parading organization. It is an all male organization that parades the Sunday before Mardi Gras.
The Krewe
The Krewe has been called the best day parade and has themes dedicated to children.
Mid City offers affordable houses for young people looking for historic homes. Residents can have the unique homes at a fraction of the cost as Uptown properties.
